Microwave Popcorn popper
Ingredients
1/4 cup popcorn kernels
1 microwave-safe bowl
1 piece of parchment paper or a paper towel
Optional: melted butter, salt, and any other seasonings you like
Directions
1. Place the popcorn kernels in the bowl.
2. Cover the bowl with the parchment paper or paper towel and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, or until the popping slows down.
3. Remove the bowl from the microwave and carefully remove the parchment paper or paper towel.
4. Optional: drizzle the popcorn with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and any other seasonings you like.
5. Enjoy your freshly made snack!
It yields roughly 4 cups of popcorn from this recipe. If you'd like, you could also prepare it in a pan over the heat. Simply put, all you need to do is heat a pan over medium heat, add the kernels in a single layer, cover the pan with a lid, and gently shake the pan to let the kernels pop. Once the popping slows down, turn off the heat.
